In case you haven’t seen the press releases disguised as news, Nabisco introduced Candy Corn Oreos just in time for Halloween. Scary!
Candy corn anything doesn’t appeal to me, but if you’re feeling left out of the seasonal fun, just make your own. For vanilla sandwich cookies, this gluten free sugar cookie recipe is frightfully good. Want chocolate candy corn cookies? Use this thin mints recipe. There’s no need to dip the cookies in melted chocolate to finish. Unless, of course, that’s what you want.
Oh look, here’s the easy way ツ
For candy corn oreo cookies without having to make them from scratch, use store-bought gluten free sandwich cookies and convert them. Twist cookies, use a knife to scrape the filling out, and replace with orange and yellow icing. BOOM! You could tint the filling that came in the cookies, but getting the color mixed in could be challenging.
Speaking of challenges, what junk food/novelty treat should we make next?
