Everybody loves kale, right?
Of course, kale isn’t the only leafy green that’s fun to turn into chips.
I’m a big fan of baked greens, especially chard. Whether you’re making a crunchy salad, healthy snack, or a fun garnish, these microwave chips are ready in minutes. This method works well with any green, so feel free to use something other than kale.
Microwave Kale Chips
Bunch of curly kale or greens
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
Rosemary sea salt to taste
Rinse and dry kale. Tear kale leaves off their stems into small pieces. Coat leaves completely, working the oil into the leaves with a brief kale massage. Spread kale onto a microwave safe plate (it’s okay to overlap pieces). Sprinkle sea salt over kale. Microwave on high (in a 1500 watt oven) for 3 minutes 30 seconds, tossing kale halfway. Cook time will vary depending on how powerful your microwave is, so check on your greens.
