Google, please don’t drop me

It’s strange how things can change so much in two weeks.

This is what I wrote to Google today.
Hi, I have a blog. I switched from a wordpress.com site to self hosted in January.
Here’s my problem – my site suddenly disappeared in google search for things that ranked well. It happened right after I joined Pinterest 3 days ago. Webmaster tools says I have no issues . . . I disagree.
I just logged into webmaster today, which said the site (freerangecookies.com) wasn’t verified. It already was, but I re-verified.
Should I delete my Pinterest acoount? I don’t know what else I’ve done wrong. Any help would be very much appreciated!
And here’s the response from Google.
We’ll review the site. If we find that it’s no longer in violation of our Webmaster Guidelines, we’ll reconsider our indexing of the site. Please allow several weeks for the reconsideration request.
Google search accounted for 90% of visits to my site. I deactivated Pinterest. Was it to blame? We’ll see.
If you have any thoughts on this or know someone who does, I’d appreciate any insight or help.

Linda, I’ve heard of this happening in slightly different contexts. Basically, your sight may have been “flagged” for a variety of reasons, including error. But no matter the reason, Google still takes up to several weeks return the listing to normal. My employer has lost many sales due to this. Pinterest may or may not have triggered it, but I would guess it’s a coincidence. I hope it works out!
